April 29-30 | Regional Apprenticeship Competition at the Sheet Metal Institute

On April 29 and 30,  the Sheet Metal Institute in Portland will host the 2026 Northwest Regional Apprentice Competition. The event will draw the most skilled apprentices from SMART union training centers across the Northwest for two days of competition and craftspersonship. Over 150 attendees, including family members, instructors, union leadership, and national industry representatives, are expected to gather to witness this impressive showcase of hands-on talent, professionalism, and industry pride.
