February 24 & 25 | SMARTMAP Training hosted by Sheet Metal Institute

This course is designed to build an awareness around the national health epidemic of substance use disorder and other mental health problems, including thoughts of suicide, and to construct a support network of compassionate union members and mental health experts for our members and their families who are facing these life challenging difficulties.

The 16-hour SMART MAP Peer Training course provides an in-depth overview of eight content areas including: Substance Use Disorder, Process/Behavioral Addictions, Community Support, 12 Step Recovery and Religion, Treatment Recommendations, Confidentiality and Ethics, Suicide Prevention, Intervention and Crisis Response, and SMART MAP Support.
